What are the FCA Eagles?
Why the FCA Eagles matter?
Sports practice contributes significantly to the physical and emotional balance of young people. Because of this, FCA Eagles plays a central role in the education of students. Furthermore, sport teaches responsibility, perseverance and respect for rules — qualities that are reflected in other areas of school life.
There is extensive evidence that involvement in extracurricular activities improves academic performance. In short, the sporting experience motivates, inspires and helps in building a positive identity during the exchange.
Team modalities and structure
FCA Eagles includes several sports, such as football, basketball, volleyball and athletics. Each team trains regularly under the guidance of experienced coaches, who monitor the athletes’ individual and collective progress. Additionally, the school’s sports calendar offers opportunities to compete in championships throughout the school year.
Student selection takes into account interest and commitment. Therefore, everyone has the chance to show their potential and join the team, even without prior experience.
Relationship with FCA programs
All students enrolled in FCA programs can get involved with the FCA Eagles. At Summer Camp, sports training encourages coexistence and communication between participants from different countries. At Mini High School and 5-month High School, students have the chance to compete representing the school in local tournaments.
This integration between study and sport strengthens the bond with the Canadian school community. In many cases, lasting friendships and lasting memories emerge, as the sporting environment encourages companionship and solidarity.
How to participate?
To be part of the FCA Eagles, the student must demonstrate interest to the pedagogical team. The coaches evaluate the sporting profile and advise on the available options. In addition, students receive ongoing support to balance training, studies and personal commitments, ensuring a complete experience.
