Theatre

Theatre is an artistic expression that combines interpretation, movement and communication. Through it, students discover new ways to express emotions, explore different points of view and develop empathy. At Fredericton Christian Academy (FCA), this activity is integrated into the curriculum, as it contributes significantly to the personal and academic growth of students.

What is Theatre?

Why theatre is important?

There are many reasons to encourage theatre practice. Because of its interactive approach, theatre stimulates creativity, improves public speaking and strengthens teamwork. Students learn to deal with challenges in a dynamic way, as they develop social, emotional and cognitive skills throughout the process. In short, theatre expands communication skills and promotes self-knowledge.

How theatre works at FCA?

Theatre activities at FCA take place through workshops, thematic projects and internal presentations. Each student actively participates in the construction of the scenes, from creating the scripts to acting. Teachers guide the process, offering technical support and constant encouragement. Furthermore, the content often addresses current topics, which makes the experiences even more meaningful.

During the year, students also have the opportunity to showcase their work to the school community. This experience improves self-confidence and helps to overcome shyness. Because of this, many students are able to apply what they learned in theatre to other areas of their academic life.

How to participate?

All FCA students can sign up for theatre workshops. It is not necessary to have previous experience, as the objective is precisely to offer a space for experimentation and discovery of talents. The meetings are planned to meet different levels of knowledge, ensuring inclusion and individual development.

Stay tuned for updates

The theatre schedule may change depending on the semester and the school calendar. Therefore, it is recommended to follow official communications from the FCA. If you have any questions, the pedagogical team is available to advise students on registration, dates and requirements.
