Art and Painting
Art and painting represent powerful forms of expression that help students communicate ideas, feelings, and worldviews. At Fredericton Christian Academy (FCA), these activities are part of the curriculum as tools that develop both creativity and reflective thinking. Through them, students learn to observe carefully and interpret different contexts.

Why art and painting are important?
There are countless reasons to include art in the educational process. Because of emotional involvement and creative freedom, students develop skills such as concentration, critical thinking and aesthetic sensitivity. In short, artistic practice contributes to well-being, strengthens self-esteem and encourages the construction of identity.
In addition, art expands the capacity for cultural understanding. By analyzing works from different eras and styles, students learn to value multiple perspectives and respect diversity.
How they work at the FCA?
At FCA, students participate in art workshops using a variety of techniques, such as watercolor painting, charcoal drawing, collage and acrylic. Each activity is led by specialized teachers, who encourage experimentation and monitor individual progress. The focus is on the creative process and the freedom to develop original projects.
During the semester, internal exhibitions take place. At these moments, students present their works, share ideas and celebrate achievements with the school community. These meetings reinforce the connection between art and student experience.
How to participate?
To participate in art and painting activities, the student must be regularly enrolled in one of the FCA programs. No previous experience is required, as the workshops are structured to cater to different levels of knowledge. Simply show interest and sign up at the beginning of the term.
