Canadian Culture
Canadian culture reflects the diversity of origins, traditions and values that make up the country. Because of its multicultural background, Canada values peaceful coexistence between different groups. This characteristic manifests itself in aspects such as art, cuisine, language and social behaviour. At Fredericton Christian Academy (FCA), students have direct contact with this plurality during their stay.

Why is knowing Canadian culture important?
There are many benefits to knowing and experiencing local culture. Firstly, integration becomes more natural, as students better understand the community’s customs and way of life. Furthermore, respect for diversity increases empathy and strengthens social skills. In short, cultural exchange favors the personal and academic growth of students.
How does this experience happen?
The cultural experience goes beyond the classroom. During FCA programs, students participate in activities involving local traditions, holidays, music, sports and community events. Because of these experiences, they develop a greater sense of belonging and intercultural understanding.
What is included in this experience?
Each program offers varying opportunities. For example, at Mini High School, students interact with Canadian peers in school projects and events. In the 5-month program, participants share their daily lives with host families or in student dormitories, which further deepens cultural immersion. These interactions are planned with the support of the FCA pedagogical team.
Benefits of this experience
Contact with different realities stimulates critical thinking and cognitive flexibility. Students learn to deal with cultural challenges and become more prepared for international contexts. Furthermore, coexistence with values such as equality, respect and collaboration leaves lasting positive marks.
