Cultural Exchange
Cultural exchange is an educational experience that involves immersion in another culture, with the aim of expanding knowledge, developing social skills and promoting the learning of new languages. At Fredericton Christian Academy (FCA), this type of exchange offers transformative experiences for students of different age groups.
What is Cultural Exchange?
How cultural exchange works?
The student travels to another country, participates in classes at a local school and lives with people of different nationalities. In addition to classes, you also participate in cultural activities and organized excursions. Because of this, learning becomes more practical, contextualized and rich in real experiences. FCA provides pedagogical and logistical support so that students can enjoy every moment safely and independently.
Why cultural exchange is important?
There are numerous benefits to cultural exchange. The main thing is to develop fluency in another language, especially English. Furthermore, students learn to deal with diversity, strengthen self-confidence and improve their sense of responsibility. In short, it is an experience that stimulates personal growth and broadens academic and professional horizons.
Cultural exchange at FCA
Fredericton Christian Academy includes cultural exchange in all of its programs. At Summer Camp, students spend time with international students in activities that explore Canadian culture. At Mini High School, they participate in regular classes and integrated events with local students. In the 5-month High School, the exchange experience is even more intense, as students experience everyday academic and social life in Canada. These interactions promote more complete and meaningful learning.
How to participate in the exchange?
To participate, the student must enrol in one of the FCA programs. The responsible team advises on documentation, accommodation, insurance and other logistical details. Furthermore, the student receives support throughout the experience, which guarantees greater peace of mind for the family. The process is simple, but requires attention to the deadlines and requirements of each program.
