Academic Support

Academic monitoring is an essential strategy to ensure that each student makes solid progress throughout their educational journey. At Fredericton Christian Academy (FCA), this monitoring occurs on an ongoing basis, as it offers individualized support, identifies challenges and promotes success in studies during international programs.

What is Academic Monitoring?

Why academic monitoring is necessary?

There are many factors that justify this practice. Because of the intense pace of study abroad programs, students may face language or cultural barriers. With active monitoring, it becomes possible to resolve doubts, propose adjustments and keep the student motivated. Furthermore, this approach strengthens the bond between the pedagogical team, students and their families, promoting an environment of trust.

FCA programs that use academic monitoring

All programs at Fredericton Christian Academy include structured academic support. At Summer Camp, monitors observe participants’ performance in educational and social activities. At Mini High School, support helps students adapt to content in English, with constant guidance. In the 5-month High School program, periodic reports and meetings with parents ensure that each student progresses safely and calmly.

How monitoring works in practice?

FCA staff conduct regular assessments, provide ongoing feedback and maintain open lines of communication with parents and students. Teachers observe students’ behaviour, academic performance and social integration. In this way, each student receives specific guidance and can develop academic and emotional skills. In many cases, students themselves actively participate in the process, suggesting changes or sharing their perceptions with educators.

Stay tuned for updates

The structure of the monitoring may vary depending on the program or class profile. Therefore, it is recommended to check the updated FCA pedagogical plan before starting the course. If you have any questions, the team can be contacted at FCA’s official WhatsApp, ensuring direct access to up-to-date information.
